I had a plan, it was a simple plan, a good plan. This morning I was going to get up at 6 AM, have some coffee and head for the Wilson. I would have arrived around 7, had time to get my gear ready, and been casting to shinny nooks by 7:30. A bright nook would have been unable to resist my hand crafted spinner. He would have put up a valiant fight, only to be bested with skill and resolute line work. Prize in hand I would have returned triumphant before 11AM, the Domestic Goddess has a girls day out starting at noon. Littlefisher and I would have cleaned the fish and prepared it for a delicious dinner!

As you, clever reader, have gathered from all the past tense above and wistful tone, none of that happend. My downfall started with a coughing Littlefisher last-night. She ended up awake until nearly midnight, which kept the Domestic Goddess and I up late too. It was sealed by me forgetting to set my alarm. I woke up at 7:30 this morning and realized I wouldn't have time to get ready, get out, and get back before the Domestic Goddess's lunch plans.

Since Littlefisher is not well enough for a trip to the river today, I'm left blogging about what might have been. Better luck next time I guess.
